You are enrolled in or have the opportunity to enroll in individual health insurance that:
- Limits, restricts or blocks your coverage for a specific medical condition.
- Has benefits that are similar to MHIP but costs you more due to your health condition.

You are a child who qualifi es for medical reasons, and submits an application through a parent or guardian

You lost your Employer - Sponsored group insurance and have exhausted Cobra.

You have a pension from the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and are at least 55 yrs old and not entitled to Medicare.

You are switching from another High-Risk pool in another state and you intend to live in Maryland Permanently ( You need to apply within 63 days of your plan running out)
